What kind of job, at what age
In Quebec there is no general minimum working age, but anyone under 14 needs written parental consent, and a student’s hours are limited during the school year. MonGig supports young people from age 14 and keeps following them through CEGEP and university.
The opportunities posted range from part-time work after school to summer jobs, internships and first contracts in a field.
Why this is not an ordinary job board
A general job board assumes you already have a track record. MonGig assumes the opposite: no résumé is required to sign up, every listing is reviewed before it goes live, and the employers recruiting here know they are talking to someone who may be doing this for the first time.

How it works

Volunteering is often the easiest way in: no intimidating interview, a lighter commitment, and real experience at the end of it. On MonGig, volunteer opportunities sit in the same place, behind the same account.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see the listings before creating an account?
No, and that is deliberate. Listings are visible only to registered, verified students — which is what protects both young people and employers. Signing up is free and takes a few minutes.
Do I need a résumé?
No. Your MonGig profile is the starting point, and it fills itself in as you accumulate validated hours and certificates.
Do my parents need to be involved?
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian approves your account before your first application. At 18 and over, you are on your own.
Does it cost anything?
Nothing, for students. Employers are the ones who pay to post.
