We collect the following information when you create an account: first name, last name, school email address, secondary personal email address, age, city, province, postal code, grade level, and school name. For employers, we also collect organization name and description. No photos are collected for minor students.
Your information is used to: create and manage your account, connect students to appropriate opportunities, send relevant notifications, and comply with our legal obligations. We never sell your information to third parties.
Protecting minor users (ages 12-18) is our absolute priority. Measures applied: no profile photos for students, mandatory parental consent before account activation, employers cannot view student profiles without a prior application.
MonGig is designed with Quebec Law 25 and Canadian privacy expectations (PIPEDA) in mind. You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your data.
MonGig is designed with Quebec's Charter of the French Language (Bill 101) in mind. All our services are available in French.
We use secure session cookies to maintain your login. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you consent to them — see section 7.
With your consent only, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve its performance. No measurement tool is loaded and no analytics cookie is set until you accept. What is sent is limited to site usage — pages viewed, language, device type and approximate origin — and never includes your name, email, school, or the content of your profile or messages. You can refuse from the outset, or withdraw your consent at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page; refusing and withdrawing both stop collection and delete the analytics cookies. The site works the same either way.
