A first job, with confidence.
MonGig helps students aged 14 and over, from high school through university, find student jobs and volunteering opportunities. If your child is under 18, your consent is required before their first application.
Clear steps, practical safeguards.
Your approval before any application
A student under 18 cannot submit an application until a parent or guardian’s consent has been approved.
Employers and listings are checked
Employers go through MonGig’s verification checks, and every listing is reviewed by our team before it is published.
Contact details stay private
Employers never receive your child’s email, phone number or address. Conversations happen in MonGig messaging.
A private parent space
With a private link sent by email, you can follow your child’s applications, interviews, validated hours and your consent status.
How does parental approval work?
Your child creates an account
They sign up with their personal email and school email. If they are under 18, they enter a parent or guardian’s email address.
You receive an email request
As soon as they sign up, MonGig sends a consent request to that address. The link is valid for 7 days.
You approve or decline
The link shows you the request and lets you approve or decline it. To change a decline later, contact our team.
Your child can apply
Once your consent is approved and their account is verified, your child can apply. You can withdraw consent at any time from the parent space.
Good to know: approval happens by email. MonGig does not verify the identity or legal status of the person who responds — access to the email address provided is what allows the decision. The link is personal: please do not share it.
Follow your child’s progress.
On the Parent access page, enter the email address that received the consent request. If it matches a request, you receive a private link, valid for 24 hours.
